- How many lessons do I have to learn to pick up tennis?
Honestly, there is no definite answer. The coach will need to access your skills and determine at what level you and your friend(s) are at. Our definition of “level” is neither beginner, intermediate, nor advance terms.
For every beginner, there are different levels: judging on the ball sense, the habit, and the mentality. Some students do not have ball sense; some students possess old habits, for example, always sticking to badminton style; some students always possess negative mentality or adding pressure to oneself. The coach will have to cater according to individual needs. There are beginners who are fast learners. They manage to rally at baseline in less than 10 sessions. Of course, the faster you learn, both the coach and yourself will have great sense of satisfaction!
- Can an intermediate and a novice player take up tennis in the same session?
Yes. It will be preferred to engage in 2 hours of tennis lesson instead of 1. Both players will be going through the same drills together and the coach will correct the techniques of the individuals. In fact, this will form a good pair as the novice player will be strongly influence to pick up tennis at a faster rate. The intermediate player will improve better as he/she will not want to lose out to the novice player.
- What if I have additional friend who wants to join me in the session?
From the usual 1 hour private one-to-one session to a two-to-one session, the lesson fee will be $80 instead of $70. Each person will only need to pay $40. For this last minute arrangement, students will just need to pop up additional $10 to the coach for 2 players session.
- What if the group size is reduced from 3 pax to 2 pax?
There will be NO refund of fees for withdrawal once payment is made. For instance, 3 players signed up a package of 8 sessions. i.e $90 x 8 session. If the usual 1 hour session consists of 3 players and one of them decided to pull out in the midst of, say 5th session, there will be no refund to the remaining session fees.
